How You Can Work With Us

Walking & Leash Training

A good walk sets the tone for all behaviours. Navigating how a dog should be on their leash can be tricky, and it all matters!

Set up a training appointment to learn key dog walking techniques, from positioning your dog and how to avoid tension on the leash, to the best way to give corrections for unwanted behaviours and positively reinforce the behaviours we do want.

Working with Shayne, you will gain the knowledge you need to walk your dog in a way that will meet their needs, help with their overall behaviour, and makes the walk enjoyable for all!

Puppy Training

Puppies are as much of a joy as they are work sometimes! Shayne will help to ensure your puppy grows into a well-behaved dog and loving member of your family that you can take anywhere.

And don’t forget house training! Bringing a new puppy or dog home can come with some surprises. Learn how to set up your home, set boundaries, and introduce your dog to lay a strong foundation for success.

Problem Behaviour

No one wants their dog to bite, jump up on children or houseguests, or to be running circles around them all day. If you are experiencing a difficult or aggressive behaviour, it can be fixed!

Socialization & Group Walks

New to dog parks, or worried about how your dog is (or isn’t) interacting with other dogs? Set up a training appointment to work on these skills and introductions together!

Shayne also hosts group walks, which are a great way to continue or enhance your dog’s training. By joining a weekly group walk you have the opportunity to socialize your dog in a controlled environment with a trainer. This can be an excellent way to stay on top of any small behaviours that pop up after you are done with one-on-one training, or simply to ensure your dog is getting the regular socialization they require.

Recall Training

We all want our dog to stop in their tracks and return to us when their name is called. Unfortunately, this is often not the situation we find ourselves in when our dog is over excited or having too much fun! Set up an appointment with Shayne to master recall.

Boarding

When you can’t bring your dog with you, give them a vacation of their own! We’ll welcome your pups into our family like they’re one of our own, with plenty of walks and cuddles. Plus: We offer a local shuttle service that provides a safe pick-up and drop-off option to make your life easier!

During your dog’s stay with us, we ask that you provide their food and a crate, as well as any other comfort items that may help to make them feel more at home, like their dog bed or a favourite toy. This helps with both their comfort and wellbeing. Crates are used when we are unable to keep eyes on the dogs (e.g. running an errand or dropping little A at daycare), in order to ensure their safety.
